Over the last 16 years we have developed and refined mobile CCTV systems for use in a variety of industries to monitor people, either as a security device, or for management and training purposes.

Lextar markets its mobile CCTV system under the brand Tracam®. Ours is the only system in the world to incorporate corners, making it a truly flexible CCTV solution. The use of corners in large sites such as Distribution Centres and over production and assembly lines can produce greater functionality at less cost than multiple fixed domes. Tracam® is the 21st century automated security device.

Mobile camera systems are now accepted in many parts of the world as key components and a cost-effective solutions to the monitoring of human and mechanical movement, to improve surveillance control and work efficiency.

• The mobile camera can be better positioned to obtain the optimum view of a particular activity.
• Superior coverage of an area can often be obtained for less cost than multiple fixed domes.
• An object or person can be followed more easily.
• The deterrent effect is greater because the location of the camera is not known, but the cowling is always in clear view providing constant reinforcement of security monitoring.
• Should the video picture be required as evidence, the vision from the mobile system is likely to be more admissible because there is no need for editing prior to Court presentation.

Operators can proactively take control and drive the system to search out security breaches or they can rely on Tracam®'s automated features such as Presets, Tours and Patterns allow the system to operate effectively, while no operator is present.

Until now, the only way to achieve greater coverage was to install more cameras and monitors. This made surveillance expensive and more complex because of the need to switch between these multiple cameras.
