1. What is the weight of the system?
The weight of each system component is as listed below:
| Q2 Controller |
3 kg |
| Track |
4.8 kg/metre |
| TL6c |
5 kg |
| TL6 |
5 kg |
| PSI |
13 kg |
2. How many wires are needed in
the data cable?
Tracam ® is typically configured for
2 wire RS-485 but Tracam® is also compatible to 4 wire
RS-422 protocols. Three pair twisted shielded cable is recommended,
having one or two spare twisted pairs on-hand is always good
practice.
3. What is the maximum cable length
from track to controller?
The maximum video cable run is 300m using
RG59u coaxial cable. The maximum data cable run is 1000m using
Cat 5 data cable.
4. What category of cable is used
between the control room and the Power Supply Interface Unit?
Data Cable: Category 5 shielded, 24 AWG
Video Cable: RG59U, 70 OHM coax
5. Can Tracam® interface with
an existing CCTV system?
Tracam® can interface with most major
CCTV systems. Tracam® is supplied standard with a comprehensive
library of compatible protocols including Sensormatic, American
Dynamics, Pelco, VCL, Ademco, Panasonic, Kalatel and 360 Vision.
6. How many alarm inputs can be
interfaced to Tracam®?
Eight (8) alarm inputs can be interfaced
to the Q2 Tracam Controller as standard and a further 4 may
be connected to each PSI. With an alarm expansion module this
may be extended to a further 128 alarm inputs.
7. Is the Tracam® system EMC
rated?
Tracam® has Class "B" EMC
rating.
8. Can the system be rated to EMC
Class "A"?
Possibly. As each system varies with track
length and cable run, an EMC Class "A" rating may
be obtainable, providing the customer pays any additional
costs.
9. Can the system be fitted with
remote monitoring?
Yes, remote monitoring is available.
10. What is the operating temperature
range of the system?
-10° C to +45° C
11. Is the system lightning protected?
The Tracam® system is surge protected
and surpasses EMC susceptibility and static immunity tests.
12. Can the system signals be intercepted
or jammed?
Normal methods of intercepting or jamming
are not possible. The system operation can be stopped by removing
power. This can be overcome by providing a UPS (Uninterruptible
Power Supply).
13. How often does the system need
to be serviced?
Servicing is dependent upon use. An annual
service routine is recommended for the typical system.
14. What is the warranty period
of the Tracam® System?
12 months.
15. Who can install Tracam®?
Tracam® can be installed by Lextar and
its distributors or by the customer's existing (or proposed)
security system provider after system installation training
by Lextar.
16. Who conducts the servicing and
maintenance?
Tracam® can be maintained by Lextar
and our Distributors or by the customer's existing security
system provider after system training by Lextar (See Contact
for Distributor details).
17. Who conducts the training of
technicians?
Training is carried out by Lextar
or a Lextar approved trainer. |
